Install Dahua TiOC camera

With a TiOC camera, the preparation goes beyond a good camera image. Supported light and sound responses can actively react to an event. Therefore, make an advance agreement in advance when such a response is desired and when recording or a report is sufficient.

Describe the desired response per situation

A staff member who enters the office in the morning must be treated differently than an unwanted approach after closing. Write down which time slot and which area each response belongs to. Use everyday situations from daily use instead of immediately activating all available functions.

Check the execution of the chosen model

TiOC implementations differ in available lighting, detection, and audio. Have the specific features on the model checked. Note which of those are used in this installation. A function from a brochure of a different generation may not be implied in the quotation.

First set up detection without unnecessary inconvenience

Test the chosen area and the intended objects before active warnings are activated. Check where visitors are waiting and where staff are walking. It is easier to pinpoint a detection error when each test does not immediately produce sound or noticeable light.

Test light and sound consciously

Schedule a test time with the responsible user. Check what the camera is actually doing and how the response can be stopped or adjusted. Take into account the environment and ask who later may change such settings. A warning that no one can manage does not fit a careful handover.

Check the recording behind the warning

Locate the test fragment and compare it with the received notification. Note which scheduling and response have been selected. If opening hours or access are changed, those appointments must also be reviewed again. Dismissing a warning does not in itself prove that the required images have been saved.

Frequently asked questions

Does the siren always have to be on at a TiOC camera?

No. The used responses must match the situation and the functions of the model.

Can I only record during the day and actively warn after closing?

Check which schedules the model supports and test both timeframes separately.
