WizSense is a Dahua product family with intelligent image features. The features you can use depend on the camera model and the recorder. Therefore, first choose which event needs attention: a person at a door asks for a different setting than traffic along a terrain.
Note the camera model, recorder, and available software versions. The family name alone does not indicate which detection combinations are supported. Determine whether the desired processing occurs in the camera or recorder and which features are simultaneously available. Keep these records during installation.
SMD and IVS are not two names for exactly the same command. Depending on the model, you can use activity with object classification or a specific rule. For example, describe that a vehicle is relevant at the gate, but passing traffic behind it is not. That description forms the starting point for the detection area.
Check the walking route with a person and, if applicable, a vehicle. Also test the edges of the area. A target or obstacle located too far away may limit usability. Determine the camera angle before final positioning, so that a detection rule does not compensate for an unsuitable position.
Determine whether the detection should result in a recording, marking, or notification. Test that outcome separately. A rule displayed on the camera is not automatically a mounting on the phone. Also ask how the user can find the relevant fragment on the recorder.
Save some successful tests and note which conditions have not been investigated. Compare the operation later under different lighting and normal use of the terrain. WizSense makes good placement and control not unnecessary; the system must demonstrably match your desired event.
