What is included

Receive notifications that you actually need

An app that moves with every branch will soon be stopped. But not receiving notifications can also come due to phone settings or a wrong schedule. We monitor the chain from the camera until the message appears on your phone. We distinguish between what the system detects, what it records, and why it sends a notification.

  • Align detection area with the access that matters
  • Check personal and vehicle filters for model support
  • Follow the detection schedule and push schedule separately
  • Check notification rights on the used phone
  • Run the test and view the corresponding video fragment
01

Too many notifications: start with the camera footage

A camera that sees a lot of street, trees, or reflections can generate noisy alerts. We choose a smaller zone or a line where someone needs to pass through. If the camera supports person or vehicle detection, we evaluate those features. Reducing sensitivity alone can lead to the missed of desired events as well.

02

No notification: test each switch

First, check whether the camera is recording the event. Then, see if the action for notifications is enabled and falls within the set time frame. Finally, check the app permissions and any focus or silent modes on the phone. A test with a real passage will show at which step the notification disappears.

03

A privacy mask is not a detection zone

A detection zone determines which area is being evaluated for a notification. A privacy mask obscures part of the image. Those settings are not interchangeable. We check both the visible and stored image as well as the notification behavior, so that a quieter app is not confused with shielded recordings.

04

Appointments for daily use

Determine who receives a notification and what that person does afterward. For a family, an evening schedule may work; for a company, opening hours vary by day. We test with the accounts and phones that are actually used. You learn which settings you can adjust yourself and when support is appropriate.

Clear answers

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get images but no push notifications?

Live view can work while a notification schedule, detection action, or phone authorization is not set correctly. We will check those components separately with a test event.

Can my camera only report people?

This can only be done if the model and the used recorder support that function. We check the combination and test which events are actually passed through.

Can I receive notifications without continuously recording?

With suitable equipment, reports and recording schedules can be set up separately. However, make sure you save enough video when reporting to understand the event.
