PoE budget, cable length, switch capacity, segmentation, uplinks and range are calculated at peak load. A switch with enough ports can still have too little power once all night lighting turns on.
Ports, cables and network structure are labeled and tested with all cameras at the same time.

Are data connection and power calculated for the connected cameras?
Check both the available power per connection and the total of the switch. The load can change when night lighting or other functions are activated. Cable quality, connections between buildings and the uplink to the recorder also determine whether all cameras operate reliably at the same time.
Planning the work
Having enough ports does not automatically mean enough PoE power.
When connecting between buildings, the entire route must be assessed, including construction and surroundings.
Information for a suitable proposal
Note camera models, switch models, global cable lengths and the route to the recorder. Report whether the failure occurs mainly at night or after an additional camera is connected.
Checks at handover
Check cable connections and the relevant switch port.
Compare the total power budget with the connected equipment.
Test recording while all cameras are in use.
