Take a photo of the rear side and note the function for each cable. On a recorder with its own PoE ports, multiple camera cables can connect directly to the device. On a recorder behind an external switch, the configuration may be different. That difference determines how many trajectories need to be adjusted.
Check accessibility for maintenance, power, network, and environmental conditions from the manual. A closed cabinet can provide different conditions than an open furniture. Also determine how a user can reach the recorder if the app is not available.
