After a move, the recorder not only has a different outlet. The new home or business space may have different cable routes, network data and viewing angles. Use the old installation data as a starting point, not as proof that the same settings work everywhere.
Keep model numbers, labeled cables, required power supplies, and a summary of the camera channels. Export any remaining images before disassembly. Package the equipment so that connections and accessories remain recognizable together; a missing power supply can unnecessarily delay the reinstallation.
Compare the old camera features with the new access points. A camera that used to film a narrow path does not need to be properly positioned for a wide driveway. Determine the new task for each device and test that location before the camera is permanently mounted.
Determine whether the recorder uses an automatic or fixed network address. Old addresses do not need to match the new router. Note what adjustments are needed for local connection and remote access. Do not delete all settings immediately because a device does not appear in the app immediately.
A channel that still is called “backdoor old property” makes searching confusing. Give cameras appropriate names and check who has access. In a company, management roles can change after the move. Revoke access that is no longer needed according to the supported account procedure.
Test each new position with a recognizable movement and find the fragment again. Compare the time setting and view the app both through the local network and through the usual external connection. Save the new overview next to the relocation data.
