What is included
An intercom is the only security you use every day: you use it to unlock the door. That's why it immediately catches your attention when it squeaks, hums, or only works when you press it twice. During installation, we first check what's in place, as existing wiring is often still perfectly usable. Then, we determine whether a wired system or an IP intercom is better suited to the building and the number of users.
A two-wire system works independently and is unaffected by network outages; ideal when there is already wiring present and you want to record mainly indoors. An IP intercom runs over the network and is logical with multiple entrances, multiple users, or when you also want to open it remotely.
Half of the malfunctions we see are not caused by the intercom, but by the lock or the power supply around it. Therefore, we always check the type of lock, the voltage, and the wiring to the door. Only when opening works reliably do we adjust the image, sound, and notifications.

Clear answers
Often yes. Many two-wire systems work on the cable that is already there. We measure that beforehand; only if the cable is too thin or damaged, do we pull a new one.
A wired intercom will continue to work indoors without internet. Only functions via the app, such as opening it when you are not home, require a connection.
