What is included
Buying a video doorbell is easy; getting it to work reliably is the real work. Most complaints are about notifications arriving too late, a doorbell that no longer rings inside, or a picture that keeps loading. This rarely comes down to the doorbell itself, but rather to the power supply, existing chime, or Wi-Fi that just doesn't quite reach the front door. We check those three points before installation, not after.
Many homes have an old doorbell transformer that provides just enough power for a mechanical doorbell, but insufficient for a camera with night vision. The result is a doorbell that restarts immediately upon ringing. We measure the voltage and replace the transformer if it fails; this is typically the difference between frustration and a system that simply works.
A doorbell hangs low and close to the visitor, so a vertical image works better than a wide panorama: you see the face and the package on the ground. If the door is in a portico or corner, we use a slanted bracket so you don't only see the side of someone's jacket.
