Damage to schools rarely occurs during class. It happens in the evenings, weekends, and holidays: destroyed bike storage racks, graffiti, fireworks in a container, or smashed windows. Therefore, we set up school security cameras differently than at a business: active outside school hours, focused on the grounds and the building facade, and with agreements that the school can explain to parents and the student council.
A school grounds is an attractive, abandoned place outside school hours. Cameras that only record during those hours and then send a notification provide exactly the coverage needed without ever capturing footage of lessons or breaks.
