In a warehouse, camera surveillance often focuses on proving rather than on preventing theft. Which pallet went on which truck? Was that damage already present when loading? Who hit that racking? That requires cameras at the locations where goods are exchanged between owners: the loading dock, the dispatch area, and the gate. Additionally, there is the classic question: who walks around the property at night.
Discussions with carriers or customers almost always revolve around the same moment: loading. With a camera on the platform that records the time, pallet, and truck, this can be found within a minute. For this, image quality at a specific position is more important than the number of cameras in the hall.
In a hall, you want cameras high enough for an overview, but not so high that you only see the tops of heads. Therefore, we hang cameras along the walkways and on the tops of aisle heads, and take into account positions that will be moved later. When lighting varies, we choose cameras that retain color with little light.
