What is included
Blurry camera footage does not always have the same cause. The entire image may be blurry, only moving people can blur, or the night shot may show a white haze. Those patterns require different controls. First compare a still daytime image, a moving subject, and the night shot before changing settings or replacing equipment.
Infrared light can reflect off dirt, spiderweb, glass, or a nearby wall. This can look like mist even when it is clear during the day. Check the exterior of the lens window and the area around the camera. Clean only safely accessible surfaces according to the manufacturer's instructions; opening a sealed housing can damage the seal.
In low light, longer illumination can blur moving people. More pixels do not resolve automatically. We assess the available lighting, illumination time, and desired recognition point together. A shorter illumination can require more light, making every change in the actual night situation need to be tested again.
With models that have adjustable lenses, focus can play a role. Condensation, damage, or an unsuitable lens window can also degrade image quality. Note since when the problem has existed and whether it occurred after cleaning, assembly, or a weather change. Do not adjust a fixed lens with force; the correct investigation depends on the camera model.
An app can display a smaller video stream for speed. Therefore, compare the recording or main stream with the preview before approving the camera. Digital zoom does not add missing detail. We test a person again after adjusting the distance that is important, so that the improvement is measurable in the intended use.
