A suitable local camera installation can store images without a fixed internet connection. That does not mean that every app camera works completely offline. First determine whether you want to record and view locally, or whether you also need notifications and images remotely.
A network between IP cameras and a recorder can exist within the building without a connection to the outside. That local network is still necessary to transmit images to the recorder. Establish the physical connections: directly via the recorder or via a suitable switch. Without internet, this does not automatically mean without network cables or network management.
A local monitor or a supported computer can serve as the viewing area. Verify that logging in and looking back in this setup work. An app that requires an external service for account control or certain features requires separate evaluation. Allow the desired operation to be demonstrated while the internet connection is actually missing.
Check how the recorder retains its time and how corrections are executed if automatic time synchronization is not available. Also record recording planning and transfers. After a trial period, look for a recognizable fragment. A wrong clock can make it difficult to find it, even when the camera technically just saves images.
Access from a different location and services outside the property require a connection route. If that is still desired, consider a suitable mobile connection or other network solution. Keep that extension separate from the local recording requirement. A working screen in the property does not prove that a phone outside the property reaches the same images.
Agree on how important images are exported and who performs software maintenance. An installation without internet also requires account management and control of storage. Note in your request whether temporary internet access is possible for use during installation or whether the system must be fully configured independently. This prevents surprises during installation.
This depends on the network setup and features. Let the local addressing and connections be designed for the chosen equipment.
