Camera image is blurry

A stuttering image stops briefly, skips motion, or changes into blocks. That is not the same as a smooth image that lags behind for several seconds. Find out where the interruption is visible before you reduce the recording quality of all cameras.

Compare the same moment in the recording

Note when a person walks through the image and search that moment back on the recorder. If the recording is continuous, the path to the viewing device should be especially examined. If the same parts are also absent in the stored fragment, then record that fragment for the technical evaluation.

One channel or a whole overview?

Open the camera separately and compare it to the screen where many cameras are simultaneously displayed. Note how many images are open and which device you are using. Then check whether other channels stop at the same time. That distinction makes it visible whether the complaint concerns a single connection or is related to a shared component.

Compare two viewing spots

Test with the same camera on a second authorized viewing device. If possible, also use the existing local viewing spot at the recorder. Do not change account, image profile, and network simultaneously if you want to understand the difference. Keep track of which combination worked well and which did not; the term slow internet only describes the interruption insufficiently.

Let the capacity of the image chain be investigated

Camera settings, network and processing on the viewing device can all impact the stream. Request a review of the involved components before replacing the hardware. A lower viewing stream can serve as a comparison, but keep that test separate from the recording settings. A smoother overview is of little value if it inadvertently results in the desired recorded details disappearing.

Repeat the situation that first got stuck

After recovery, use the same number of windows and the same moving scene again. Also check the recording at that moment. Ask for support to record what the cause was and which setting was changed. This way, later it can be assessed whether a new camera or viewing computer is re‑loading the same capacity.

Frequently asked questions

Do I always have to take a faster internet connection when the image is blurry?

No. First check whether the complaint also exists locally and whether the recording itself is interrupted.

Can a lower app quality help with the investigation?

Yes, as a targeted comparison. In doing so, do not inadvertently alter the quality of the stored images.
