A privacy zone is intended to shield a portion of the camera footage. This is different from an area where no motion detection is triggered. First, determine which part of the frame should remain out of view, and then check how the chosen model applies that shielding.
Review the full frame with the responsible user. Mark the parts that are not necessary for the camera's purpose, for example an unwanted piece next to the own entrance. Note why the camera is placed in this location and let the shielding align with that purpose. A mask does not replace the assessment or whether the camera setup is appropriate.
An excluded detection area can still be visible in a continuous recording. Therefore, explicitly look for the privacy or mask function of the Hikvision model. Also note where it is managed: directly on the camera or via an supported recorder setting.
