Camera offline: investigating the problem
An offline camera can fail due to power, connection, address or device behavior; a fixed diagnosis prevents information from disappearing.
The control sequence
Note which channel fails, when, what the recorder shows and whether PoE or network cables change. Compare with a working camera on the same switch or route.
What is smart to do
Check one layer at a time: power, physical cable, IP route, NVR channel, and camera settings. Reset only when the cause and recovery data are determined.
When it is completed
Test after recovery of live image, recording and a restart at the relevant time or under relevant load. Note the cause and change.

Why not reset immediately?
A reset can erase settings without resolving a cable or power problem.
Can one defective port only affect one camera?
