A bullet camera has a long-extending body and a clearly directed viewing direction. This makes the position easy to identify during a camera coverage plan. The excellent mounting does require space and a sturdy surface, especially where someone or something can reach the camera.
Indicate on a photo which passage, gate or strip of ground should be included in the image. Evaluate where people are located when the image should be usable. A camera angled along a facade can provide a different view than a camera positioned directly on an entrance. Therefore, let the position of the bracket follow from the desired image.
The camera and support must not enter the movement space of a door, roller shutter or vehicle. Also take maintenance of the facade into account. A long housing on a corner may have good visibility but can protrude and be vulnerable. Compare another mounting point before an extra sturdy bracket is chosen as the only solution.
Determine in advance where the cable comes from the exterior wall and where the connector is protected. A suitable junction box may be part of the installation, depending on the model and environment. Do not leave a fragile connection hanging behind the support. Ask when reusing an existing hole or whether the new mounting plate actually covers it and can be properly secured.
Check after securing that the final angle matches the test image. Take the entire relevant area with you, including the edge where someone enters. On models with adjustable lenses, the chosen viewing angle is also recorded. Record a short walking test before the installation is considered as delivered.
The front glass must be able to be cleaned according to the instructions, and the mounting must remain accessible for inspection. Indicate whether the installation location is regularly painted, pruned, or worked on using ladders. This allows the installation to be planned so that later maintenance does not inadvertently change the viewing direction.
You can't deduce that from the shape alone. The lens, resolution, light and the size of the subject in the image are decisive.
Follow the adjustment space and mounting conditions of the model. Then check the actual image.
