The YD-606 is anelectromagnetic door holder, specifically designed for floor mounting. This device is frequently used in public buildings to (keep) fire doors open and automatically shut them off in the event of a fire alarm or power outage.
As long as the magnet is powered, it keeps the door open through the anchor plate on the door. As soon as the fire alarm interrupts the power (or during a power outage), the magnet loses its strength and the door automatically closes via a door latch.
