Have the fisheye camera installed

A central ceiling position can provide a panoramic view, but cabinets, beams, and hanging objects can block parts of the scene. Indicate on a floor plan which passages should remain visible. Check those points in a test image. A wide lens does not look through an obstacle and does not automatically provide sufficiently recognizable details at every location.

Do not merely focus on the appealing overall picture. Allow someone to walk along the important edges of the area and examine the relevant sub-image. The available pixels are distributed across a large area. If a small detail at one entrance is crucial, it should be evaluated to determine whether a supplementary focused camera is more suitable for that task.

Depending on the combination, the camera, recorder, or viewing software can convert the round image. Check which views are supported and how they are offered to a user. A correct partial view in the manufacturer app does not prove that the same function is available through another recorder. Let the intended chain be confirmed before purchase.

Record a recognizable playback route and view it using the normal playback function. Check whether other parts of the recorded image can be selected later, or whether only the configured display is preserved. Export a short fragment and see what a receiver sees from it. This prevents expectations that the chosen storage method does not meet.

Note which position is intended for overview and which for detailed inspection. Explain to the user when looking around digitally, so that it is not confused with physically rotating the camera. Keep the mounting orientation and settings with the system. A later changed ceiling or wall mode can noticeably change the presentation.
